Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of this website and, if you are admitted, your membership of the network.
Last updated
This document is a working draft describing how MBH&Co operates. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and is not legal advice.
Using this site
You may use this site to learn about MBH&Co and to apply for membership. You may not attempt to access member areas you are not authorised for, scrape or copy member information, or use the site to send unsolicited commercial messages to anyone connected with it.
Applications
Submitting an application does not create a membership and does not oblige us to admit you. We review each application individually and may decline or waitlist an application without giving reasons. Information you submit must be accurate; an application containing false information will be declined, and a membership obtained on false information will be ended.
Membership
Membership is personal to the firm admitted and to the individuals named on the seat. It cannot be transferred, resold or shared with another firm. Membership is subject to the Code of Conduct and the Membership Standards, which form part of these terms.
Fees, term and renewal are set out in the membership agreement you receive at admission. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer at a particular price.
Introductions
MBH&Co facilitates introductions between members. We do not act as agent, broker or adviser for any member, we do not guarantee that an introduction will lead to work, and we are not party to any agreement two members reach between themselves. Members remain responsible for their own due diligence, contracts and professional obligations.
Confidentiality
Information you learn about another member through the network — their identity, their clients, their Give and Ask, or anything discussed in a circle or at an event — is confidential. It may not be published, sold, added to a marketing list, or passed to anyone outside the network.
Ending membership
You may end your membership in line with the membership agreement. We may suspend or end a membership where the Code of Conduct or the Membership Standards are breached, where verification can no longer be completed, or where the conduct of a member puts other members at risk. Where membership ends, the category seat is released.
Liability
The site is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, MBH&Co is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, from an introduction, or from any dealing between members.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it.
